The lagoon-shaped pool is particularly attractive and large enough for a swim-up bar in an ‘island’. They range from the 1-bedroom suite with a swivelling TV viewable from the compact bedroom and separate lounge, to the ultra-chic Presidential Platinum Suite, which is absurdly oversized and under-furnished. The pool faces a sliver of mangroves and mud, but guests can use the private beach elsewhere within the complex, as well as the 11 restaurants, 7 tennis courts and poky kids’ club.
