Emerald Palace, Pattaya, Pattaya (tH) – Deals & Reviews

Marriott Pattaya Resort And SpaI stayed in a two bedroom suite – the rooms were very spacious and huge. There was no staff, no restaurant, the hotel is far away from the buzz of city. The beach near by isnt good. The hotel / apartments are new but lacked the hotel feel. Large suites and bathroom. Too far from transport late at night. 1. It was very big (about 92-97 square meters), clean and quiet room in the evening and night hours. No inhouse restaurant. Bathroom flooded due to poor floor waste. 2. We had a wonderful sea view. 1. It was not so quiet in the daytime – were under construction. New hotel – very fine standard. Spacious room (we had 2 bedrooms). 2. We had to pay extra money for additional bed (for child) and Internet access. The service from staff was very fine – they helped in any way, and even checked when we forgot to close a window, when we where out. Location is very fine, if you want a quiet place – only 150 Baht for a taxi to city center – 15 minutes hard walking – cheap good restaurants nearby – beach neaby. Inhouse Restaurant is not open yet but will be opened shortly. Building construction nearby, makes noice in daytime – but compared with city center, or other noice, this is ok.

No mini bar, no black out curtains, not even a waste bin.

Adriatic Palace HotelI had a tremendous nasty stench of feces in the room coming out of a drain pipe in the bathroom. The TV set was old with a bad image. Room was also full with mosquitos and creeping insects. Air conditioning was old too, very dirty and extremely noisy. No mini bar, no black out curtains, not even a waste bin. No bedside tables, no lamps or light switch at the bed. In the bathroom no exhaust fan, no shower door or curtain, no bath amenities, not even a simple piece of hand soap. This hotel advertises with “Free WiFi in all rooms” and a “Fitness center”. My room was on the backside of the building, where was something like a bus terminal or garage with corresponding noise disturbance. This is just a big scam! The so called fitness center is basically just a multi function fitness tower. But this tower is totally unusable because all wire cables were ripped! The WiFi wasn’t working at all, not in the room nor in the whole building! Therefore it’s not only far too hot in there to work out, but one will have the company of plenty of mosquitos as well. There was also no air-con in the fitness room. Restaurant staff was rude and ignorant and had practically zero English skills. Complaints about the not working WiFi and useless fitness center led to nothing. I didn’t even get an apology.
